You might remember a while ago I created a character poll to find out the most popular characters in the story. Last time it was Jerome and The Horse, but since then the characters have been through a lot, and there are a few new characters. If your favourite isn’t on the list, let me know who it is!
Is it just me, or are you making these a bit flasher now? (Also, damn you for killing Jerome. He wasn't the hero we deserved, but the one we needed. ;_;7 Jerome)
Well thank you for saying that!
I guess I’ve gotten a little more accustomed to using Paint now, so I’m a little more comfortable trying new things. There are a few panels in particular that I spend a while on, like big landscapes and such (in fact the next page has a panel that took me some time). But I guess it’s mostly just that I’m used to Paint and it comes more naturally to me than it used to. When the comic started, looking back at the first chapter, I didn’t try too hard but now that people actually read it, I feel like I should make a bit more effort.
Throughout Stories of Adventures, I’ve tried to keep each chapter to 25 pages exactly, because it felt like a good size. However, as we’re in the last few chapters, I’m finding each part of the story more difficult to fit into this mould. Therefore, I’ve decided to extend the last three chapters (that includes the current chapter) This means you get more content, and I get a bit more room to add in some extra funny bits and ease off the pace of the story.
So, Chapter 7 will run to 30 pages long, as will chapter 8, and the last chapter, Chapter 9, will be a whole 40 pages long! That means Stories of Adventures will finish on page 250.
Hope you guys enjoy what’s to come, and always feel free to ask questions or submit your own stuff!
The ‘Read from the start’ page is also now a lot easier to navigate, meaning you can read the story chronologically without having to go to new pages, just scroll down and load the next one fast! Access it by the menu in the top left hand corner. If anyone has any suggestions for other cool stuff they’d like to see put on, I am interested in improving the page so let me know.
This is the best comic I have ever read. Please keep writing it.
Wow, thank you so much, that really makes me very very happy!
At the moment I am busy with university and have essays and exams coming up very soon, which make it hard to find time to sit down and make the comic, but I will be on break in about a month’s time. My university gives us crazy long breaks so I will have plenty of time to resume the story. I’ve made a start on the next chapter, so I would estimate around the New Year for it to be published. Sorry for the wait!
Thank you once more for your lovely encouragement!
I’m Josh, the guy who makes the comic! I’m not sure how else to answer your question, but I am also 20 years old and from the UK.
While I’m here, I’ll say this: I know it’s been a long time since the last chapter (longer than I promised), and I can’t promise that the next chapter will appear any time soon, but Stories of Adventures is not dead! The next chapter is in the works, and even though it might be another while yet, it will appear!
I am working on chapter 7, slowly but surely, but I’ve got a lot going on right now, and haven’t been feeling too creative. Hopefully it’s going to start within the month, but I’m sure you would all have it a little later done well that rushed, so thank you for being patient.
